We are seeking Contract Community Assistants who are looking to work on an hourly/as-needed basis, who will be the eyes, ears, and voice of Artisan Council’s clients on social media, cultivating active and engaged digital communities, while also representing the voice of each different brand. As the ideal candidate, you may be in school, or have another part-time job, and wish to take on a few hours a day or week.
This role is collaborative and will report directly to the Sr. Social Media Manager. Our ideal candidate is beauty, pop culture, and community-obsessed, with a team player attitude, a strong sense of creativity, excellent communication and writing skills, and is a multi-tasker that will hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will support moderation during the holiday period, joining training sessions and preparing in advance to ensure seamless coverage and no gaps in community engagement.

You will manage community management and moderation for multiple brands, maintaining 100% reply rates and responding to all owned messages and comments within 2 hours.

You will monitor and interact across all social media channels in an authentic manner true to each brand and channel (predominantly TikTok, Instagram, X, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit)

You will publish content on social media channels and monitor engagement.

You will review all pre-scheduled social content at the time it publishes to confirm accuracy.

You will moderate on-channel and off-channel conversations, both owned and earned, managing proactive and reactive engagement simultaneously.

You will maintain moderation volume, meet moderation quotas, and manage priorities to ensure timely and complete coverage.

You will maintain moderation aligned with brand priorities and active campaigns.

You will use third-party community management tools and also sweep native feeds, inboxes, and other channels daily to ensure all conversations are fully moderated.

You will identify social trends and pertinent conversations, inserting the brand into relevant discussions through timely moderation and engagement.

You will identify opportunities to surprise, delight, and show community members how much they are appreciated, and you will handle communications to collect all necessary information for fulfillment.

You will maintain standardization for engagement responses and guidelines for frequently asked questions and new product launches
ESSENTIAL SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

Deep knowledge of pop culture and cultural trends - you know the latest meme, TikTok sounds, and trends before most people do!

You know every up-and-coming creator in the beauty space

You live in the comments section on TikTok and know how to drive conversation and engagement when moderating the community on and off

Passion for beauty, skincare, popular brands, and other relevant communities is imperative

In-depth knowledge of the relevant and upcoming social media channels + platforms, and how each platform can be leveraged in different scenarios

Knowledge of the ins and outs of all social media channels, and use them effectively for work and personal use

Strong knowledge of Gen-Z+Millennial culture and the individuals at the forefront of it

Social media enthusiast, champion of influencers, and internet culture

Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
