Z.M.K. & Co. invites applications for the position of Community Mobilizers for UNDP Pakistan’s “Rights-Based Community Stabilization Project” in District Khyber.
Background
UNDP Pakistan’s Decentralization, Human Rights & Local Governance (DHL) Project implements the Rights-Based Community Stabilization Project to support sustainable community-based disengagement and reintegration of vulnerable youth. The project strengthens community resilience through psychosocial support, skills development, awareness-raising, and engagement with local leaders, academia, and civil society. Community Mobilizers will lead outreach, awareness, and engagement activities to ensure inclusive participation of vulnerable groups.
Purpose
To organize and mobilize communities, raise awareness, facilitate community participation, and support project activities, ensuring that the most vulnerable and marginalized groups are included.
Job Description (Key Responsibilities)
Facilitate community sensitization, mobilization, and awareness sessions.
Support formation and engagement of Integration Support Groups (ISGs) and youth resource centers.
Lead community outreach and assist in beneficiary identification in coordination with local leaders and service providers.
Promote human rights, peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and inclusive community participation.
Build linkages with advisory committees, gender desks, and local CSOs.
Maintain records of meetings, awareness sessions, and group activities; contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Support sustainability of project interventions and document lessons learned, achievements, and success stories.
Uphold ethics, confidentiality, and “do no harm” principles in all interactions.
Perform other duties assigned by SWD and UNDP.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Management, Education, Natural Sciences, or a development-related field.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in community mobilization, preferably in community stabilization projects.
Experience working with government or multilateral organizations in project management.
Previous experience in Khyber (merged areas) is a strong asset.
Demonstrated experience integrating gender considerations in community engagement.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of the sociocultural and economic context of the Merged Areas.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write reports clearly and succinctly.
Team player with the ability to work under pressure.
Cultural awareness and respect for local traditions.
Basic computer skills (MS Office).
Reliability, proactiveness, and commitment to community resilience and inclusion.
