About the Position:

The Community Relations Associate plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the Jewish Federation by supporting the work of the Jewish Community Relations Council. This position focuses on building and maintaining relationships with diverse community partners, advocating for Jewish communal interests, promoting social justice, and combating antisemitism and all forms of hate. The Associate will help implement strategic initiatives, coordinate programs, and support advocacy efforts at the local, state, and national levels.

What You Will Be Doing (Principal Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks of the Role, Typical Day):

Community Engagement & Coalition Building

· Cultivate relationships with interfaith, interethnic, civic, and governmental partners.

· Represent the Federation and JCRC at community events, coalitions, and public forums.

· Support initiatives that promote mutual understanding and shared values.

Advocacy & Public Policy

· Assist in monitoring and analyzing public policy issues relevant to the Jewish community.

· Support advocacy campaigns on issues such as antisemitism, Israel, civil rights, and social justice.

· Help coordinate legislative visits, advocacy days, and community mobilization efforts.

Education & Programming

· Plan and implement educational programs, speaker events, and community dialogues.

· Develop content and materials for public education on key issues.

· Support Holocaust education and antisemitism awareness initiatives.

Communications & Outreach

· Draft newsletters, social media content, and advocacy alerts.

· Maintain relationships with media and help coordinate public statements and op-eds.

· Collaborate with internal departments on messaging and branding.

Administrative & Strategic Support

· Provide logistical and administrative support for JCRC meetings and events.

· Assist in tracking program metrics and preparing reports.

· Contribute to strategic planning and grant writing as needed.

What You Need to Succeed:

· Bachelor's degree in political science, Jewish Studies, Public Policy, or related field (master's preferred).

· 2–4 years of experience in community relations, advocacy, or nonprofit work.

· Strong understanding of Jewish communal values, history, and contemporary issues.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across diverse communities.

· Passion for social justice, civic engagement, and Jewish communal life.

· Familiarity with legislative processes and public policy.

· Experience with event planning and program coordination.

· Knowledge of Israel affairs.

· Proficiency in social media and digital communications tools

· Occasional evening and weekend availability required for events and urgent communications needs.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
