POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for: assisting with examinations and audits and perform all actions necessary to ensure that the Bank’s policies and procedures are in compliance with Federal and State Laws and Regulations. This employee offers the customer the highest degree of service and promotes all Alliance Bank’s products and services.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to read, write and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.
2. High School diploma (or equivalency) and knowledge of specialized principles that would be obtained through a formal four (4) year academic program, and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a financial institution; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
3. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to deal with and respond to employees’ requests with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.
4. Willingness to attend training sessions, conferences, and/or schools.
5. Ability to become certified in Bank Compliance.
6. Requires excellent writing, communication, and reporting skills.
7. Ability to operate basic office equipment i.e., calculator, 10-key touch, and PC, with job related software.
8. Ability to handle bank and customer transactions with a high level of confidentiality.
9. Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
10. Knowledge of Alliance Bank’s policies and procedures.
11. Knowledge of Alliance Bank’s products and services.
12. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time. This may include the need for evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage.
13. Office setting with moderately varied desk-oriented activity.
14. Repetitive movement of finger, wrist, and hand.
15. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Personify Alliance Bank’s mission statement of The best in all we do.
2. Actively sell and cross-sell bank services.
3. Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly service.
4. Promotes Alliance Bank’s culture through all interactions.
5. Review all consumer loans for any regulatory compliance violations and review commercial and ag loans for Reg B compliance.
6. Review advertising for compliance.
7. Assist with CRA duties as needed with the following:
a. Assist with maintaining CRA public notices and files.
b. Assist with monitoring and tracking the Bank’s CRA performance.
c. Assist with loan analyzation for any potential fair lending concerns.
d. Assist with development of financial literacy programs.
8. Assist with compliance audits, exams, loan reviews, HMDA scrubs and compliance monitoring. This may include gathering and providing information, coordinating with appropriate departments, facilitating, and responding to outside auditors, and addressing findings with appropriate action such as training or testing.
9. Help understand and interpret new or changing regulations and laws. Assist with communicating and implementing changes.
10. Keep updated on Alliance Bank’s policies and procedures. Assist with maintaining compliant policies and procedures.
11. Assist with updating Risk Assessment as needed.
12. Assist in Second Review Process.
13. Assist with compliance training and provide guidance as needed.
14. Attend meetings as requested.
15. Participate in community affairs to increase Alliance Bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
16. Keep updated on all Alliance Bank policies and procedures pertaining to this position.
17. Attendance and punctuality are a must.
