We are looking for a Compliance Officer for one of our Reputed Clients in UAE.


We are seeking a highly organized, knowledgeable, and regulatory-focused Compliance Officer to oversee the compliance function of our insurance brokerage operations in the UAE. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring full adherence to the regulations issued by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, and internal policies, as well as safeguarding the company’s regulatory reputation and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Oversight

  • Monitor ongoing compliance with the requirements of the CBUAE, including Circulars, Guidelines, and Standards applicable to insurance brokers.
  • Ensure the company maintains valid licenses and approvals under the CBUAE Insurance Authority Division.
  • Liaise with CBUAE and other regulatory bodies to address compliance queries, inspections, and correspondence.
  • Review and implement changes as per new or amended CBUAE regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/CFT standards, Consumer Protection Regulations, Financial Crime Compliance).

Risk Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and regularly update the Risk-Based Compliance Framework.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across all business operations.
  • Report to senior management and the Board on compliance risk exposure, breach incidents, and corrective actions.

AML/CFT Compliance

  • Serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) or coordinate closely with the MLRO.
  • Ensure full implementation of AML and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) measures per Federal Decree Law No. 20 of 2018 and CBUAE Guidelines.
  • Submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as required.
  • Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and sanctions screening processes.

Policy & Procedure Management

  • Develop, review, and maintain compliance-related internal policies, including Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, Whistleblower, and Ethics policies.
  • Ensure policies reflect regulatory expectations and best practices.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and thematic audits periodically.

Training & Culture

  • Deliver periodic compliance training to staff on AML/CFT, ethical conduct, and regulatory changes.
  • Build a strong culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Ensure key employees understand and implement obligations under the CBUAE Insurance Broker Regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business, or a related field (master’s or professional certifications preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role within insurance, banking, or financial services.
  • Deep knowledge of CBUAE Insurance Broker Regulations , AML Laws, and regulatory compliance frameworks in the UAE.
  • Professional compliance certifications preferred (e.g., CAMS, ICA, CRCMP).
