Concrete Scanner

Position Overview

The Concrete Scanner will assist in performing scanning activities on project sites using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and related tools. The role supports senior technicians, involves learning to interpret scan data, and requires adherence to safety and project standards. Candidates with a willingness to learn and grow will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct concrete scanning under the guidance of senior technicians using GPR and other NDT equipment.
• Identify utilities, rebar, conduits, and other embedded features within concrete structures.
• Mark scan results clearly on site surfaces.
• Handle, clean, and maintain scanning equipment.
• Assist in recording site information and preparing basic reports.
• Follow company safety procedures and site regulations at all times.
• Set up equipment and assist with documentation and measurements.
• Learn and develop skills to interpret scan data and perform independent scans over time.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or Technical/Vocational Certificate (civil, mechanical, electrical, or related fields preferred).
• Basic knowledge of construction sites or tools is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn specialized equipment and on-site procedures.
• Ability to work in outdoor and active construction environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically fit and able to carry light equipment.
