Department
MAINTENANCE - DUKHAN

Primary purpose of job
Responsible for the execution of Predictive and Preventive maintenance programs, analysis of equipment breakdowns and

presentation of recommendations for equipment repair or modification. Supervises Condition Monitoring Technicians and

conducts regular reviews of condition monitoring data for plant equipment (including major rotating equipment), transfers

the data into the CM database and carries out 'Trending' for equipment condition evaluation.

  • Carries out Vibration and Condition Monitoring on all Rotating Equipment in the Dukhan Fields, transferring collected data
to the CM database. Supervises and provides technical guidance to Condition Monitoring Technicians gathering data on

plant and equipment.

  • Interprets and diagnoses collected vibration data through techniques such as spectrum analysis and overall amplitude
trending and uses process data to support the conclusions reached.
  • Provides advice and technical support in the development, implementation and execution of Condition Monitoring

techniques including Thermography (Electrical and Mechanical equipment), Ultrasonics analysis (lubrication, electrical),

Motor Current Spectrum analysis, lubricating oil analysis etc

  • Carries out/supports bore scope inspections on rotating equipment during annual inspections or when problems are
reported. Takes internal photographs of defective parts and problem areas and produces reports on evaluations.
  • Conducts regular performance evaluation of Gas Turbines, Process Gas Compressors and Main Oil Line Pumps. Advises
on any anomalies and suggests action to be taken.
  • Carries out Root Cause analyses & After-Action reviews.
  • Actions engineering work orders, assists Reliability Engineers in performing Reliability analvsis and Root Cause Failure
Analysis on Critical Equipment. Provides reports on findings together with the cause of failure and solutions where

applicable.

  • Assists in Predictive and Preventive Maintenance programmes, analyses equipment breakdowns and presents
recommendations for repair or modification.
  • Participates in major equipment overhauls by taking parameter readings before and after the overhaul and comparing the
same. Advises Turbomachinery and Reliability Engineers on findings.
  • Prepares and maintains files for various Vibration and Condition Monitoring activities.

Experience & Skills
10 years' experience in condition monitoring with relevant experience in the oil & gas and petrochemicals

Expert in online monitoring/protection systems and offline vibration monitoring equipment usage (B-N System 1/3500

series, ADRE, etc), database management, fault diagnosis and maintenance recommendations.

Thorough knowledge of Borescope inspection and its acceptance criteria for different Gas turbines, Thermography, Lube oil

analysis, electrical motor condition monitoring and ultrasonic diagnostics for mechanical and electrical equipment.

Sound knowledge in operation and maintenance of Gas Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Pumps, auxiliary equipment and

systems.

Certified Vibration Analyst Cat -Il is desirable.

Practical experience in managing/supervising contract resources.

Computer literate with MS Office suite and SAP CMMS and an excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken

Education
Bachelors in Mechanical / Electrical/ Instrumentation & Control/ Metallurgy, or related trade/discipline, including training in

a mechanical trade/Turbine overhaul/Condition Monitoring to OND level or equivalent.
