Qualification: ISO 18436-2 Category II – Vibration Analyst from a recognized center

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·Conduct routine and scheduled vibration data collection on rotating equipment (motors, pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, fans, gearboxes, etc.).

·Perform detailed vibration analysis to detect imbalance, misalignment, bearing faults, looseness, resonance, and other mechanical defects.

·Use vibration analyzers, data collectors, and condition monitoring software to interpret results and trend machine condition.

·Ability to collect vibration data using portable data collectors, analyzers, and online monitoring systems.

·Familiar with FFT spectrum analysis, time waveform, phase analysis, orbit plots, waterfall plots, and trending.

·Knowledge of diagnosing machine faults: imbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, looseness, resonance, gear faults, electrical faults in motors, lubrication issues, etc.

·Prepare diagnostic reports with recommendations for corrective actions.

·Carry out precision laser shaft alignment, dial-gauge alignment, belt alignment, and coupling alignment at site.

·Assess soft foot, thermal growth, and base conditions prior to alignment.

·Perform in-situ alignment of pumps, motors, generators, compressors, and other rotating machinery without dismantling system.

·Strong understanding of pumps, motors, compressors, turbines, fans, gearboxes, generators, and other dynamic equipment.

·Knowledge of shaft alignment, balancing, bearing types, lubrication practices, and machine installation standards.

·Coordinate with maintenance teams for corrective adjustments, shimming, and equipment re-leveling.

·Conduct thermal scanning of electrical panels, MCCs, switchgear, breakers, bus bars, transformers, motors, bearings, and mechanical systems.

·Perform workplace and environmental noise monitoring in compliance with OSHA, ISO 9612, and local regulatory guidelines.

·Measure sound levels of machinery, equipment, HVAC systems, and industrial environments.

·Maintain sound level meters and ensure test instruments meet calibration requirements.

·Prepare technical reports, inspection certificates, and condition monitoring summaries.
