Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves supervising teams, managing project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality standards to deliver projects efficiently and within scope.
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors on-site to ensure project milestones are met
- Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide work activities
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and specifications
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets safety standards and project requirements
- Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations, including conducting safety meetings and inspections
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to avoid delays
- Monitor progress through site inspections, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and adjusting plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation related to contracts, change orders, and project updates
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction sites
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools
- Deep understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Knowledge of contracts management and quality control processes
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training required
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations across various projects such as pipelines or heavy civil works
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read technical schematics and use testing tools like ohmmeters effectively
- Excellent management skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and team coordination
This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead impactful projects while utilizing advanced construction management techniques.
Pay: $29.45 - $35.47 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
