Overview:
TRC is seeking a Construction Inspector I to perform detailed construction inspection work as assigned by the responsible project manager or construction manager.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the construction of various systems to insure compliance with plans and
specifications. Work may include:-
Interpret plans and specifications and insure compliance by contractor.
- Demonstrate a familiarity with, and insure compliance with, applicable
construction codes and practices. -
Demonstrate knowledge of erosion control measures and compliance with
environmental regulations. -
Monitor complex construction schedules to insure timely completion of the work.

Direct changes in the work when requested by the Resident Engineer.

Aid in the preparation and execution of programs for testing materials and
equipment and for the start-up of project systems. -
Approve contractor invoices.
- Receive, inspect, and approve equipment to be installed on the project.
- Demonstrate a familiarity with work rules of collective bargaining crafts
employed on the job site.

Act as Resident Inspector, when required, on projects of moderate size and complexity.

Maintain all onsite documentation in an orderly and professional manner.

Effectively communicate with the project team, client and contractors.

Participates in company safety training activities.

Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience- an Associate’s Degree from a two-year college, university or
trade school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. -
Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
Project management / scheduling software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing
software. -

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
