Responsibilities

As the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Construction Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all MEP aspects of data center construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and architects, to ensure the successful delivery of data centre facilities.

  • Lead and manage the MEP aspects of data center construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for MEP systems.
  • Review and approve MEP designs, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, and water systems.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all MEP installations meet the highest standards.
  • Monitor and control MEP project costs, ensuring that they stay within budget.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in MEP construction management, with at least 3 years focused on data center projects.
  • Strong understanding of data center MEP systems, including HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, and plumbing.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing MEP aspects of large-scale construction projects, particularly in data centers or critical facilities.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems in data centers.
