Construction Materials Testing Technician - ACI Certified

STL Engineers is growing and looking for motivated Construction Materials Technicians (CMTs) — both entry-level and experienced — to join our team!

You’ll perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to help ensure the quality and safety of major infrastructure projects across North Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling and testing of concrete, soil, and asphalt on active construction sites.
• Prepare daily field reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Conduct laboratory tests on collected samples to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment according to company standards.
• Follow all safety protocols on job sites and in the lab.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and contractors.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in construction materials testing or inspection.
• Certifications from one or more of the following:
• American Concrete Institute (ACI)
• International Code Council (ICC)
• National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies (NICET)
• Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
• Construction Materials Engineering Council (CMEC)
• Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI)
• American Society for Quality (ASQ)
• American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ANDE)

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
