Job Purpose

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing steel installation projects from mobilization to final handover. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership qualities, technical expertise in steel structures, and proven experience managing construction activities involving steel fabrication, erection, anchoring systems, drilling, welding, and working at height.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, procurement timelines, and site resources.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, and site installation teams.
• Review IFC drawings, engineering calculations, shop drawings, material submittals, and ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements.

Site Execution & Supervision

• Lead site installation works for steel structures including drilling, fixing anchors, welding, assembly, bolting, and alignment.
• Oversee site supervisors, riggers, welders, and installation crews to ensure work progress as per program.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures (hot works, working at height, rigging & lifting operations).

Stakeholder Management

• Attend weekly coordination meetings with main contractors, consultants, and clients.
• Resolve technical issues, RFI queries, and interface clashes on-site.
• Communicate progress updates, challenges, and resource requirements to management.

Quality & HSE Compliance

• Ensure installation processes meet QA/QC standards and project specifications.
• Monitor inspection requests, test reports, torque checks, anchor pull-out tests, and third-party certification compliance.
• Enforce HSE standards as per UAE/KSA regulations and ABT’s safety protocols.

Cost & Resource Control

• Monitor project budgets, variations, manpower allocation, material requests, and subcontractor performance.
• Support in preparing claims, change orders, and commercial documentation.

Handover & Documentation

• Manage snag lists, testing, commissioning, final inspections, and project close-out documentation.
• Ensure all technical records, as-built drawings, warranties, and method statements are properly submitted.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in steel contracting or steel structure installation projects in UAE/KSA.
• Proven site management experience with secondary steel systems, mezzanine structures, façade brackets, anchor bolts, and architectural steel works.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding procedures, design drawings, and erection methodologies.
• Familiarity with HSE protocols, NEBOSH concepts, and site permit systems.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera / AutoCAD (advantage).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and resolve site technical issues.
• Strong time-management and resource allocation skills.
