Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Consultant Emergency Physician to join our Emergency & Trauma Care Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and trauma emergencies. The role demands strong clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to lead emergency response teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate medical care to patients arriving at the Emergency Department.
  • Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, and resuscitation of critically ill or injured patients.
  • Lead Code Blue, trauma calls, and emergency response activities.
  • Handle medical, surgical, cardiac, pediatric, and trauma emergencies independently.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, wound suturing, and point-of-care ultrasound.
  • Collaborate with specialists and coordinate timely referral or admission for further management.
  • Monitor patients in the emergency ward and ensure continuity of care.
  • Document patient history, clinical findings, treatment plans, and procedures accurately.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior doctors, nurses, and emergency technicians.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, emergency care guidelines, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine / General Medicine / Anesthesiology / Critical Care.
  • Fellowship in Emergency Medicine (FEM/IFEM) preferred.
  • Valid medical registration with state/national medical council.
  • 1–5 years of relevant experience in Emergency/Trauma care.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments with quick clinical decision-making.
  • Strong communication and team-leadership skills.

Skills Required:

  • Advanced life support skills (BLS/ACLS/PALS certified preferred).
  • Proficiency in airway management and emergency procedures.
  • Competency in trauma assessment and stabilization..
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
