Job Designation: Consultant in Biochemistry

Qualification: MBBS, MD Biochemistry

Job Description:

• Supervise and manage all diagnostic activities within the Biochemistry department.
• Interpret and validate biochemistry test results.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality control (IQC) and external quality assessment schemes (EQAS).
• Supervise instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Guide and supervise in the development and implementation of new biochemical assays and test methods.
• Provide training and guidance to laboratory technologists and junior staff.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), laboratory safety, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABL).
• Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary team meetings, and clinical audits when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and research within the department.
