We’re hiring a Content & Community Fellow who’s sharp with words, understands social media and digital communities, and can turn SME stories and product info into content that fuels both our platform and social channels.

Responsibilities

• Research SMEs, products, services, and local experiences listed on the HOP platform.
• Write clear, engaging content for static and dynamic pages (city pages, category pages, local scenes, product pages, etc.).
• Create and refine product and service listings for SMEs registered on the platform.
• Apply on-page SEO (keywords, titles, headings, internal links, meta suggestions) to content and listings.
• Support off-page SEO (content for backlinks, directory/partner listings, collaborations, SME/brand features).
• Create social media content (copies, carousels, basic reel concepts) based on platform content and SME listings, driving traffic back to HOP.
• Help manage digital communities of SMEs and creative brands (groups, chats, updates, spotlights, basic support).
• Design clean, on-brand visuals using Canva for posts and announcements.
• Collaborate with content, product, and development teams to ensure content fits the platform structure and upcoming features.

Requirements

• Strong command of English (writing and editing).
• 2-3 years of experience in content writing (agency, startup, platform, or freelance) – portfolio/samples required.
• Hands-on SEO experience – both on-page and off-page.
• Experience in social media content creation and basic community management.
• Good design sense and practical experience with Canva.
• Strong research skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with analytics tools
• Experience working with SMEs, artisans, creators, or local brands (Preferred)
