Job Description

As a Content / Copy Writer, you will be responsible for crafting clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content across digital platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and conversions. You will work on a mix of social media copies, ad copies, website content, landing pages, blogs, emailers, and scripts, closely collaborating with social media, design, and performance marketing teams to bring ideas to life in words that perform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand brand, audience, and campaign goals and plan content accordingly.
  • Contribute to weekly/monthly content calendars across social, website, and email.
  • Ideate hooks, campaign themes, and headline angles with the team.
  • Write clear, compelling copy for social posts/reels, ads, websites, landing pages, emailers, WhatsApp, and basic video scripts.
  • Adapt tone of voice as per brand (formal, conversational, witty, emotional) and keep copy crisp and error-free.
  • Draft and edit blogs, articles, case studies, FAQs, and microsite content, and repurpose them into short social/email/ad snippets.
  • Apply basic SEO best practices (keywords, headings, meta descriptions, intent) while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Create hooks, captions, hashtags, CTAs, and campaign copies tailored to each platform and aligned with trends and topical moments.
  • Work closely with Social Media, Performance, Design, and Account teams to align copy with briefs, creatives, and campaign objectives.
  • Participate in reviews, iterate based on feedback, and maintain a bank of high-performing copies, brand phrases, and taglines.
  • Review performance metrics (CTR, engagement, saves, shares, conversions) with teams and refine hooks, messaging, and formats accordingly.
  • Stay updated on content, copy, and social media trends and track competitor communication to suggest fresh, differentiated messaging.


Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, English, Marketing, or any related field.

Experience:
2–4 years of hands-on experience as a Content Writer / Copywriter in a digital agency or brand environment.
Skills & Competencies
  • A strong writing portfolio is mandatory.
  • Excellent command over written English, with strong grammar, clarity, and storytelling ability.
  • Proven ability to write for multiple formats:
  • Short-form (ads, posts, captions, hooks, CTAs)
  • Long-form (blogs, website content, case studies)
  • Scripts and campaign ideas
  • Understanding of how content works across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, websites, and email.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, digital marketing funnels, and performance metrics like CTR, engagement, and conversions (good to have).
  • Strong research skills – ability to understand new industries, simplify complex topics, and make them engaging for the audience.
  • Ability to handle multiple brands, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced agency setup.
  • Experience with education, real estate, or service-led brands.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Slides, Notion, or any collaborative platforms.
