The Apple Health Special Projects team is looking for a Content Designer / Art Director to lead art direction on high-profile content projects, ensuring every piece delivers top-tier quality and resonates with our audience. This is a key role on our content design team to shape narrative with brand strategy, technology and design as components of editorial strategy.

This role combines imaginative concept development with disciplined execution, requiring a strong eye for design and an ability to work across a variety of content formats. You’ll help drive the creative vision and collaborate across teams to bring compelling stories to life in digital articles, and other content formats.

This is a site-based role.

Description

As a Content Designer / Art Director, you will take the lead in shaping creative concepts and transforming them into polished, visually stunning designs. You will play an integral role in both the conceptual and execution phases of content creation, overseeing the design process from initial pitch to final asset delivery. This position requires a balance of visionary thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring designs are scalable across multiple formats and align with our brand standards.

Conceptual leadership: Develop creative concepts for digital articles, innovative layouts, and other content formats inside of UIs, translating abstract ideas into concrete visual designs.

Execution and delivery: Oversee the end-to-end process, ensuring timely delivery of assets that meet creative and project objectives.

Fast-paced workflow: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Full comfort and familiarity with in-house/3rd party CMS systems and authoring workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in digital editorial design and art direction, with a portfolio showcasing polished, high-quality work.

Expertise in digital branding and visual storytelling across a variety of formats.

Strong leadership skills, with experience guiding design teams and collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, AE, and other design tools.
