Job description

Purpose

The job holder will be responsible for editing and proofreading educational content in the English Language. They are required to do so for hard copies, digital copies, and online materials.

Job Description

· Reviewing and editing content for grammar, punctuation, and style.

· Coordinating with the design and media teams.

· Proofreading digital copies before print.

· Rewriting content when needed.

· Doing factual checks.

· Ensuring the text is in line with the publisher's 'house style'.

Job Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Arts of English, English Language, Mass Communication, Education, or relevant field.

· Fluency in English.

· Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously.

· Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.

· High attention to detail.

· Proficiency in working with MS Office and PDF programs.

Experience

3-5 years of work experience as a copyeditor, copywriter, or similar role.
