This position is based in Chicago and will involve a combination of remote and in-office work.

Summary
Reporting to the Associate Marketing Manager, this individual supports the development and implementation of a robust content marketing strategy for Agency EA with the goal of increasing brand exposure across platforms and target audiences.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced agency environment. They are digitally-savvy and have a foundational understanding of how content is used for lead generation and nurturing. This individual is highly organized and detail-oriented to support the management of a high-volume content calendar and asset library. They are keen to develop their understanding of how content engages prospects throughout their journey, are familiar with basic SEO principles, and are proactive and curious about effective communication methods. They understand that strong communication has a powerful purpose both internally and externally — to educate, inform, share and unite.

Responsibilities:

Content Development + Strategy
  • Assists the team in developing the B2B content strategy and thought leadership concepts in line with business development goals.
  • Manages the editorial calendar, ensuring all deadlines are logged and content is scheduled correctly.
  • Collaborates with the internal copywriters to draft content to ensure cohesion with the brand voice, messaging and personality across all platforms.
  • Researches industry trends and competitor content to propose content opportunities and topics to highlight subject matter expertise and project work.
  • Drafts and edits blogs, email marketing, white papers, videos, presentations, webinars, social media, and more to support SEO and inbound traffic to the company’s website.
  • Supports leadership and subject matter experts with speaking engagements and industry opportunities through custom thought leadership content and presentation development.
  • Partners closely with the team and external partners to measure, report and optimize content performance, ensuring it is driving effective results in support of growth goals.
  • Drafts simple content (e.g. social posts, internal emails) and assists with research and editing press releases and pitches, blog and social posts, thought leadership content, podcast content, marketing emails and award submissions.
  • Designs and creates compelling visual assets (static graphics, carousels, infographics) for social media, case studies, website blogs, and award submissions.
  • Films and/or edits short-form videos for social media, case study decks, and award submissions.
  • Assists with other content-driven requests and marketing materials as needed.
Brand Assets + Collateral
  • Works with Associate Marketing Manager to coordinate the logistics of sales and marketing materials, including project case studies in various formats (written, video, Google Slides), company descriptions, factsheets, sales aids, and other materials as requested.
  • Support with the capture, organization and maintenance of photography and videography of client projects.
  • Organizes and maintains the company’s digital asset library.
Digital Marketing
  • Drafts and schedules social media and long-form thought leadership content, including associated visuals.
  • Partners with the team to develop assets for email marketing campaigns (copy, banner images, etc.).
  • Performs regular tactical updates to the company website, including uploading new case studies, blog posts, and podcast episodes.
Internal Events, Initiatives + Communications
  • Contributes to bi-weekly marketing/BD team meetings and weekly marketing meetings.
  • Owns monthly internal “lunch and learn” sessions - topic development, assignment of deck creation, etc.
You have:
  • ~2 years of experience in B2B content marketing, PR, corporate communications, or journalism, preferably within an agency or services firm.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • A good aesthetic eye for and interest in creating high-quality visual content using tools like Canva (or similar) with a good degree of speed to capitalize on trends and content timeliness.
  • Experience with social media video creation and editing (e.g., CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar mobile/desktop tools).
  • Knowledge of traditional marketing disciplines as well as new emerging trends – especially online, video, social media, etc.
  • Fluency in Google Suite
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms (HubSpot/Pardot, WordPress) is a plus, but expertise is not required.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 and will be based on experience.
