What are we looking for?
SoftPro is looking for a Content Marketing Specialist in our Raleigh, NC office or as a remote employee. If you are a driven, motivated team player with a positive attitude and dedicated work ethic, the SoftPro Marketing team needs you! As a member of the Marketing team, this position is suited to a person who is adaptive to a fast-paced, deadline-driven, creative environment and is eager to learn and grow their career in the software industry.

What will I do as a Content Marketing Specialist at SoftPro?
Specifically, your responsibilities will be:
  • Assisting in SoftPro’s digital marketing campaigns and content creation
  • Writing and editing blogs, case studies and drafting media releases
  • Creating tailored content for website, landing pages, email marketing campaigns, brochures, social media, and other digital content as needed
  • Optimizing content for search engines to improve organic visibility
  • Monitoring digital content and campaign performance and making recommendations
  • Assisting with creating, writing, sourcing and scheduling relevant, engaging content on SoftPro’s blog
  • Conducting interviews with internal and external subject matter experts and incorporating them into written e-books and blog posts
  • Developing content and messaging for lead-generating campaigns
  • Assisting the Director of Marketing to strategize and implement all marketing campaigns
  • Collaborating with the Marketing and Sales teams to develop training and co-selling collateral
  • Cooperating with designer, videographers, and developers to produce multimedia content
  • Researching industry-related topics to create content
  • Working cross-functionally with other departments at SoftPro to create internal materials
  • Managing tradeshow calendar and deadlines
  • Maintaining advertising contract renewals
  • Managing miscellaneous tasks of varying priority as needed while maintaining a focus on quality in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Marketing admin and other duties as assigned
What qualifications will I need to be a successful Content Marketing Specialist at SoftPro?
Required Qualifications:
  • B.S. or B.A. in Marketing, Communications, or similar discipline
  • Experience sending email marketing campaigns and proficient with email marketing platform
  • Familiarity with social listening tools and reporting
  • Proven writing success with excellent copywriting skills who can capture brand voice within both short-form and long-form content, specifically for blogs and case studies
  • High degree of creative thinking, successful collaborator with practiced interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
  • Expert problem solver with can-do attitude
  • Creative, curious, innovative and proactive across all areas of work
  • Able to execute day-to-day needs while maintaining an understanding of overall strategy
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and exhibit ownership of assigned workload while taking full responsibility for related workflow and deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • Basic working knowledge or better of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva
  • Familiarity with marketing automation software, specifically HubSpot, preferred
  • Experience in SEO best practices
  • HTML/web development skills is a plus
  • Experience with a CMS system such as WordPress is a plus
