Contract Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Contract Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse background in various areas of law, including but not limited to employment law, employee benefits (ERISA) and corporate law). This role requires strong negotiation skills, excellent legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft and review legal documents effectively. The Contract Attorney will work closely with clients and other legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal services.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents across multiple practice areas including personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and workers' compensation law.
• Provide legal advice on matters related to estate planning, environmental regulations, tribal law, and securities law.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all legal activities and communications related to cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of various areas of law including but not limited to fempoyment law and business law.
• Proven experience in legal drafting and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Strong research skills with proficiency in using legal research databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.

• Have your own law firm
• In house experience, referree, judge - in HR/employment law, working with small and medium sized companies
• Experience with Franchises (HR) and/or ERISA (working with benefit brokers)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
