The Contracts Director will lead Navarro’s contracts management function, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies. This senior-level role is responsible for overseeing aspects of contract administration, negotiation, and execution for DOE and other government contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex federal contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement contracting strategies aligned with corporate goals and DOE requirements.
- Contract Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, including proposal support, negotiation, administration, and closeout.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to DOE regulations, FAR/DEAR requirements, and company policies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks to protect company interests.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership, project managers, and legal counsel to support business objectives.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on contract status, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in federal contracts management.
- Direct experience with DOE contracts is required.
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DEAR, and government procurement regulations.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
