About the Role
Custodio & Dubey LLP - CD Law — the official law firm of the LA Kings — is seeking a highly skilled Copywriter to join our fast-growing marketing team. This is a hands-on, high-output creative role for someone who can write across multiple formats and help elevate our brand through storytelling, SEO content, newsletters, press releases, scripts, and digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
Content Writing & SEO
- Produce high-quality blog posts, website pages, and SEO-optimized landing pages covering personal injury, habitability, employment, and workers’ compensation law topics.
- Perform keyword research and implement SEO best practices to improve rankings and conversions.
- Maintain and update website content through WordPress, Google Search Console, and analytics insights.
- Assist in publishing ebooks, books, PDFs, and other published material.
Newsletters & Email Marketing
- Write and design weekly newsletters for clients, partners, colleagues, attorneys, and subscribers.
- Build email marketing campaigns and SMS campaigns with strong hooks, CTAs, and automated flows.
Transcription & Repurposing
- Transcribe videos, podcasts, and interviews, then repurpose into blogs, captions, scripts, and social-ready content.
- Turn long-form content into short-form assets optimized for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Social Media Copywriting
- Write captions, comments, hooks, scripts, and fresh content ideas for the social media team.
- Develop creative concepts for trends, short-form videos, and brand storytelling.
Media, PR & Outreach
- Draft press releases for firm announcements, verdicts, events, and campaigns.
- Write media pitches for interviews, articles, and PR opportunities.
- Draft collaboration pitches for influencers, creators, and businesses.
- Develop podcast guest pitches to secure guest spots for attorneys and firm leaders.
- Utilize well-known PR platforms (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, PR Newswire, HARO) as part of outreach and media tracking.
Competitor & Market Research
- Conduct ongoing research on competitor marketing, keywords, SEO strategies, and social activity.
- Identify emerging content opportunities, gaps, and trends across legal and digital spaces.
- Conduct and gather information to write comprehensive interview notes for media appearances.
Internal Communications
- Write internal memos, staff announcements, onboarding materials, training outlines, and cross-department communications.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work directly under the Marketing Director to support content strategy and campaigns.
- Collaborate daily with the Marketing Assistant, Social Media Manager, and external vendors.
- Uphold a consistent brand voice across all marketing channels.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3+ years of professional writing experience (agency, in-house, or freelance).
- Strong writing portfolio with examples of blogs, newsletters, sales copy, or long-form content.
- Excellent grammar, editing skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to write clearly, quickly, and accurately across multiple formats.
- Comfortable researching complex legal topics and simplifying them for the general public.

- Canva, Photoshop, or design tools
- AI Tools (ChatGPT, transcription software, etc.)
- Well-known PR tools (Cision, Muck Rack, PR Newswire, HARO)
- Speaking and writing in Spanish is a strong plus
