
Job Overview:
· The Corrosion Monitoring Technician will be responsible for the retrieval and re-installation of various corrosion monitoring devices and chemical injection tools in high-pressure systems, specifically within the oil and gas industry. This role involves both online and offline operations to ensure the integrity and performance of these systems.
Qualifications:
· Completed secondary school education plus a Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or a related field).
· Certificate in online retrieval from cosasco or equivalent
Experience:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in online retrieval and installation of intrusive corrosion monitoring devices and chemical injection quills in high-pressure environments.
· Familiarity with oil and gas operations is essential. Experience in hot tapping is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
· Perform online retrieval operations of corrosion coupons, electrical resistance (ER) probes, scale coupons, chemical injection quills, and bio-probes.
· Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of high-pressure retrieval mechanical and hydraulic equipment after each use.
· Adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards throughout all operational activities.
· Collaborate with project teams to coordinate field support services and project mobilization.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation of all operations, including verifying technician timesheets.
· Ensure materials retrieved are properly preserved in accordance with industry standards.
