Job Purpose:
Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and controlling food, packaging, and operational costs across assigned brands/ restaurants- The role ensures accurate inventory valuation, recipe costing, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting while maintaining compliance with company financial and operational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Costing Control:
• Maintain accurate item-level cost data in the ERP (Fusion / Crunch Time).
• Reconcile monthly inventory variances between system and physical counts.
• Review and validate GRNs, transfers, wastage, and consumption reports.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with restaurant and supply chain teams for resolution.
• Ensure correct UOM and item mapping for all inventory and purchase transactions.
2. Recipe & Menu Costing
• Prepare and update recipe cost sheets in coordination with the central recipe.
• Support price change impact analysis and margin reports for menu engineering.
• Review item-level recipe accuracy, yield factors, and standard vs actual cost deviations.
3. Reporting & Analysis
• Generate monthly COGS, variance, and wastage analysis reports for assigned brands or markets.
• Provide management with insights on cost trends, purchase price changes, and operational inefficiencies.
• Support brand-level P&L reviews with detailed cost explanations and corrective action plans.
4. Process Control & Compliance:
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate cost and inventory data.
• Ensure all costing and inventory processes comply with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in developing process improvements for better cost visibility and control.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in F&B, retail, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in ERP systems Oracle Fusion and inventory software (CrunchTime or similar).
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation, etc.).
