The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and forecasting project costs to ensure alignment with the approved budget and financial goals. This role supports project managers by providing timely and accurate cost reports, identifying cost variances, and recommending corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed cost control systems, including budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with the budget and contract terms.
Analyze project cost trends and provide variance analysis between actual and planned costs.
Support procurement and contract teams with cost-related data for negotiations and approvals.
Update cost reports on a regular basis and present to project stakeholders.
Participate in project planning and scheduling activities to align cost forecasts with progress.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in cost control within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
