Hennepin County Attorney's Office (HCAO) is seeking a Chief of Staff. This position will provide support in leading the day-to-day operations of the office, serve as strategic advisor to the County Attorney and executive leadership team, and oversee the implementation of initiatives and projects across the office. In addition to internal responsibilities, the Chief of Staff will also serve in an external-facing role as a liaison between our office and key stakeholders.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will:-
Serve as a member of the HCAO executive leadership team.

Advise and assist the County Attorney in the oversight and implementation of departmental goals and initiatives.

Represent the County Attorney at community engagement activities, or conferences that further the department’s mission and collaborative initiatives.

Manage the County Attorney’s time, priorities, and political agenda.
-
Manage security needs as well as real and perceived threats to elected and evaluating risk factors when making critical business decisions.

Present information to elected officials or stakeholders on behalf of the County Attorney.

Plan, organize, and supervise complex departmental projects.

Develop and direct policy and procedures for the department.

Serve as liaison between HCAO and constituents.
Need to have:-
One of the following:

Nine years of experience related to organizational operations or programs or a specialty area appropriate to the position.

Bachelor's degree in business administration or other field appropriate to the position and five years of experience related to organizational operations or programs or a specialty area appropriate to the position.
