Court Lawyer
to join the Economic Cities and Free Zones Cluster (ECFZ). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in representing corporate entities in courts and tribunals, managing litigation cases, and providing strategic legal advice to protect the company’s interests and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and governance standards.
Job Purpose
Court Lawyer provides legal counsel and representation to the Economic Cities and Free Zone Cluster senior management and General Counsel regarding litigation, arbitration, and court proceedings. The role involves advising on ongoing legal risks, opportunities, and issues arising from potential or current litigation involving the Cluster, and assisting with the collection of arrears owed to it. In addition, the Court Lawyer supports internal departments through legal consulting, including advice, due diligence, collections support, and litigation processes, ensuring adherence to legal provisions and the protection of the company’s rights, with a particular focus on managing potential or threatened litigation, while ensuring the Cluster’s and AD Ports’ compliance with relevant laws and corporate governance requirements.
Core Responsibilities

Provide legal advice to the Cluster to safeguard its interests regarding potential or current litigation and ensure compliance with AD Ports’ policies, procedures, and laws.

Provide advice on daily activities related to Cluster litigation matters.

Support collections and recovery processes for Cluster business teams.

Provide legal opinions and counsel on litigation matters in line with company policies and provide legal approvals to minimize financial, legal, and reputational risks.

Appear where necessary in courts or tribunals to represent the Company.

Assist in preparing and establishing appropriate court or tribunal pleadings and other legal documents.

Review, draft, and validate court or tribunal documents to ensure compliance with legal provisions and protect the Company’s interests.

Review all court, litigation, and settlement documents for areas of concern and highlight issues for review and action.

Maintain an organized record of all litigation matters.

Engage and liaise with external lawyers or counsels to represent the Company and take appropriate legal action on litigation matters.

Liaise internally across departments to develop strategies for dispute resolution or legal action on behalf of the Company.

Prepare briefs for lawyers and external counsels whenever required.

Address queries received from Cluster units on litigation matters and provide advice to ensure adherence to law and company policy.

Follow up on claims, disputes, and cases to ensure settlement in accordance with the rule of law.
Knowledge & Skills
-
Experience in handling litigation, arbitration, and legal advisory in corporate environments.

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in both Arabic and English.

Ability to manage multiple cases and coordinate with external legal entities and internal departments effectively.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent; LLM or PhD in Law from a recognized university is preferred.

Written and spoken proficiency in
Arabic
is essential, with the ability to converse and read in
English

8 years of relevant experience
in law practice related to contracts, property, construction, and projects, with a focus on Arabic law.
