Custom Picture Framer & Design Consultant

Helrick’s Custom Framing is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Custom Picture Framer and Design Consultant. This role is crucial to our success, as you will help clients select the best framing options to preserve and display their cherished art, photographs, and memorabilia.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultation & Design: Build customer relationships and provide personalized design guidance, assisting clients in selecting the best frame styles, matting, and glass options to complement their artwork and needs.
• Framing Production: Measure, cut, and assemble custom frames, mats, and glass using specialized equipment with a high degree of quality and on time.
• Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, manage inventory, and assist with general store duties, including operating the cash register and processing orders.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with team members in a positive and respectful manner to ensure smooth operations and a great customer experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous experience in custom framing, retail, or a related art/design field is highly preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate.
• Design Sense: A keen eye for color, design, and aesthetic arrangement.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and safely operate framing equipment and glass cutters are essential.
• Attention to Detail: Precision and craftsmanship are vital to ensure high-quality results.
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive client relationships.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
