Arctic Station is situated in Qeqertarsuaq, Greenland. The University of Copenhagen maintains and funds Arctic Station to promote Arctic research and facilitate university level education within all aspects of environmental science. The station operates year-round and is open to a broad variety of scientists and students from all over the World.
We have an open position for an enthusiastic individual to work within our station team as the daily coordinator across research and education activities at the station. The daily coordinator plays a key role in managing and supporting station visitors to optimize their stay. Overall, the daily coordinator is part of achieving the aim of Arctic Station to function as dynamic research, monitoring and educational unit at University of Copenhagen. The role as daily coordinator requires strong organizational skills, attention to details, open and service minded, understanding of scientific methodology and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
It is a full-time position with an uneven distribution of workload over the year. The peak season is from April to September. The remaining part of the year allows for longer periods of absence. The position is for 1-3 years with the possibility of extension. A rental furnished house located close to the main station building is available. The facility has five rooms, kitchen and bathroom for the station scientist (and family).
The daily coordinator works in close collaboration with the Station leader, appointed by the Station Board, the other station staff members and the secretariate.

Language: fluent in spoken and written Danish and English. Knowledge of the Greenlandic language will be valued.
Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
