Design Engineer – Chassis system

Job Description:

• Experience in design & development of at least one chassis systems such as Steering/Front axle/Brakes/Wheels & Tires for buses & Commercial vehicles.
• Familiar with homologation requirements and test conditions of Chassis system.
• Design, packaging study, materials, coating and performance parameter evaluation. Develop DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Working closely with cross functional teams like Vehicle testing, SCM, production, supplier for leading a part development from Concept stage to SOP.
• Report preparation, regular tracking of project progress and new VO idea generation and feasibility confirmation.
• Understand vehicle/sub system functional objectives, inter dependencies and study the packaging, serviceability and cost implications.
• APQP management, Supplier evaluation and process sign off co-ordination. Deliver component objective target on time as per vehicle program timings.
• Design concepts preparation in Creo/Catia.
• Good understanding of NPD systems for Chassis systems.
• Must have hands on 2D & 3D experience in Creo/Catia/UN Nx.
