Design Manager - Façades - Dubai

About the Company:

Our client is a global leader in specialist façade contracting, known for delivering some of the most complex and technically challenging building envelope projects across the Middle East and internationally. With a portfolio that spans iconic towers, cultural landmarks, and large scale commercial developments, they are seeking an experienced Design Manager to strengthen their Dubai based delivery team.

Role Overview

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the design process across high value façade packages. You will lead an internal design team while acting as a key liaison between clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full façade design process from concept through to installation
• Lead and mentor an in house design team across multiple live projects
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and clients to align design intent with technical and commercial requirements
• Review and approve design packages, drawings, and submittals
• Ensure compliance with performance standards, local regulations, and client specifications
• Resolve design related issues quickly and effectively throughout all project stages
• Represent the design team in project meetings and interface with internal departments including commercial and operations

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 15 years' experience in the façade industry, including time in a Design Lead or Senior Design role with a major façade contractor
• Proven expertise in curtain walling, structural glazing, cladding systems, and complex geometries
• Experience working on major, technically demanding façade projects (ideally high rise, commercial, or landmark schemes)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with industry standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and relevant façade software (e.g. SchüCal, Flixo)
