General Description of Role & Responsibilities

• Review the EPC Contractor's pavement design to confirm its suitability for expected traffic loads, climatic conditions, and design life.
• Verify that proposed construction methods, materials, and workmanship comply with relevant quality, safety, and technical standards.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of UAE codes, standards, and regulations governing transportation infrastructure.
• Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize pavement design while considering long term O&M requirements.
• Support coordination between design and construction teams to ensure constructability, performance, and lifecycle durability of roadway assets.
• Participate in design and progress reviews to ensure alignment with project objectives and sustainability goals.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in road and pavement design and construction, preferably on large scale infrastructure or PPP projects.
• Proven expertise in pavement materials, design methodologies, and performance based specifications.
• Strong familiarity with UAE and international standards (AASHTO, ASTM, BS, or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
