Direct Materials Sourcing Planner

Role Summary

Join us in Jonesboro, AR to plan and procure the materials that keep production running on time and on budget. You’ll own supplier relationships, forecast needs, negotiate value, and continuously refine how materials move through our operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable quality.
• Analyze inventory and forecast direct material requirements to support production schedules.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve advantageous agreements.
• Monitor market dynamics and adapt purchasing strategies to changing conditions.
• Partner with production and logistics to ensure timely material deliveries.
• Maintain accurate purchase, pricing, and stock records.
• Identify and implement cost reductions and procurement process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and assist in resolving supply chain disruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Materials Buyer or Planner within manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation prowess and clear, professional communication.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret data and make sound, timely decisions.
• Detail-focused with exceptional organizational capability.
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Current knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
