At Total Care Connections, we’re driven by a mission to provide extraordinary care for seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Arizona and Colorado. As one of the fastest-growing home care and home health agencies in the Southwest, our success is built on our team’s compassion, professionalism, and commitment to serving others. We’re honored to have been recognized on the INC 5000 list for nine years, and we continue to expand our services and impact with purpose and integrity.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead and elevate our HR department as we continue to grow. This individual will oversee all HR functions—talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development—while partnering with executive leadership to shape our people strategy.

If you’re a hands-on leader with strong strategic acumen and a passion for building thriving teams, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact at one of the region’s most respected home care providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the HR team to ensure professional growth, accountability, and high performance.
  • Partner with executive leadership to design and execute a people strategy that supports organizational growth and culture.
  • Oversee talent acquisition by developing creative sourcing strategies, ensuring strong cultural alignment, and guiding recruitment for all positions.
  • Manage employee relations by providing guidance on complex HR issues, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair and compliant practices.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs to maintain equity, competitiveness, and retention of top talent.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and payer participation requirements.
  • Oversee payroll operations and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing.
  • Champion employee engagement and development through training programs, leadership development, and performance initiatives.
  • Maintain HR policies and systems that reflect best practices and support our culture of excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • At least 3 years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in a multi-site or healthcare organization.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, change management, and organizational development.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern HRIS/talent management systems.

Why Join Total Care Connections

  • A mission-driven organization where servant leadership and radical generosity are core values.
  • A supportive and growth-oriented culture that invests in its people.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
  • The chance to shape the future of a dynamic, expanding healthcare organization.
