Overview
The Director of Marketing & Communications should have a passion and calling for serving Christ, involvement in his/her local church, and a proven commitment to both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. This is a full-time or part-time position, responsible for the creation and coordination of a marketing program for The Baptist Foundation of Alabama (TBFA). The Director of Marketing & Communications consistently determines strategies, in close cooperation with the President and Ministry Engagement team, to cultivate awareness of, and engagement with, TBFA’s services among new and existing ministry partners (churches or other ministries) and/or ministry supporters (individuals). Relationships with ministry partners will be prioritized over ministry supporters.

Skills Required

  • Proven work experience as a marketing strategist
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with content management systems, webpage analytics, customer relationship management, and other relevant software
  • Understanding of/experienced in web design, graphic design, and content development
  • Knowledge of current and relevant markets
  • Proficient in data analysis, critical thinking
  • Familiarity with SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
  • Excellent time management skills, able to balance many projects at once
  • Demonstrated self-starter who enjoys working with a team
  • Valid Alabama driver’s license
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM and the StoryBrand framework preferred

Specific Responsibilities

  • Reports to the President/Director of Ministry Engagement
  • Collaborate in setting and meeting goals to measure success
  • Design and implement marketing strategies aligned with goals
  • Collaborate with Ministry Engagement team to plan marketing campaigns
  • Build brand awareness thru content creation via various platforms (email campaigns, engagement pieces, blog posts, annual report, social media posts, videos, print advertisements, conferences, SEO)
  • Measure progress and success of campaigns
  • Establish a stronger, long term web presence for the ministry
  • Review and edit brand style guide to unify company’s messaging; ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels
  • Orchestrate events to attract new ministry supporters and ministry partners
  • Orchestrate events to thank TBFA ministry supporters and ministry partners

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week
