Major Duties:
Responsible for spearheading strategic initiatives and the planning, coordination, and management of Alliance’s marketing, public relations, and strategic communications efforts. The Director will work with external and internal constituencies to promote the Economic Alliance, its members, and the region’s business community..
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and direct overall communications strategies and marketing activities for the organization
- Manage, plan, and implement a proactive communication and marketing program to enhance the reputation, visibility, and membership of the Economic Alliance
- Oversee internal and external communications and presentations in close relation with fellow Economic Alliance staff and councils
- Oversee the content for Economic Alliance’s digital communication, including the website, social media, all content marketing, custom publications, and newsletters
- Create marketing materials and assets for the Economic Alliance, Economic Alliance Foundation and special district partners
- Act as liaison between Economic Alliance and any outsourced marketing and communications consultants
- Prepare written material for distribution on behalf of the organization including but not limited to membership materials, economic development, event and program brochures, publications, news articles and press releases
- Provide marketing, design and communication support to all facets of the organization and other team members
- Work with external key stakeholders collaboratively to accomplish common goals
Education & Experience Required:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in positions whose primary responsibilities include: marketing, public relations, corporate and/or marketing communications. More than three years serving in a supervisorial role. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required. Industry experience or credentials preferred.

- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously and in an effective and organized manner
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft® Office products and comfortable with technology
- Ability to manage a team of people and mentor/coach for growth
- Social media management (across multiple channels)
- Graphic design, photo and video editing
- Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator a plus
- Google Analytics, website maintenance and e-mail marketing tools
- Experience managing budgets, staff and external partners/agencies/clients
- Proven project management, time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated media relations experience, contacts, and earned-media results
Salary commensurate with experience.
