Key Responsibilities:
- Ultrasound Examinations
- Perform ultrasound scans (Abdomen, Pelvis, Obstetric, Doppler, Small Parts, Musculoskeletal, etc.).
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper documentation of findings.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Reporting and Interpretation
- Analyze sonographic images and prepare detailed reports for referring physicians.
- Discuss critical findings promptly with the concerned doctor or department.
- Equipment Handling
- Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of ultrasound machines.
- Report any equipment malfunction to the biomedical/maintenance department.
- Patient Care and Communication
- Obtain relevant clinical history and explain procedures to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compassionate patient handling.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Adhere to hospital policies, NABH standards, and radiation safety protocols.
- Participate in regular audits and quality improvement activities.
- Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with clinicians, nurses, and technicians for smooth workflow.
- Participate in training sessions and clinical discussions as needed.
