Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Document Controller to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of document control functions for a project or department.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Plans, organizes, and implements systems for efficient document processing of all communications, design documents, construction documents or other internal or external documents.
- Coordinates the flow of documents between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction team, or other department groups.
- Will have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation - Aconex.
- Implements document/data management solutions with a primary focus on document control and records management. Administers data/document management applications.
- Processes one or more document types through all procedural steps in accordance with defined procedures and guidelines.
- Receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals, and other reports as required.
- Provides assistance to users in capturing and locating electronic information.
- Maintains an established data distribution system and schedule for the assigned project based upon client, project and department requirements.
- Verifies retention requirements, arranges document cataloging, packing, and long-term storage or disposal of appropriate documents at time of closeout.
- Delegates and directs the work activities of project document control team.
- Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Must be graduate, plus 8+ years of related work experience, with at least 3 years in document controls (or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience) in Construction or Engineering companies.
- Proficiency in Acones MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Assignments will require a working knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems.
- Knowledge in document control work processes and utilization of electronic systems for document management, as well as corporate procedures related to document management.
- Good written and oral communication (English Language), organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
