Driver/ Automation Technician Helper

Job description:

A Driver Cum Technician is responsible for transporting technicians to various job sites and assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automation systems such as gates, barriers, shutters, CCTV, and access control. The role combines driving duties with hands-on technical support. Candidates must hold a valid UAE driving license. Having an own visa is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Duties

• Safely transport technicians, tools, and materials to project sites across the UAE.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and ready for daily operations.
• Follow all traffic rules and company policies while driving.

Technical Assistance:

• Assist lead technicians in:
• Installing and configuring automation systems (gates, barriers, shutters, smart access).
• Running electrical cabling and conduit work.
• Mounting devices such as motors, sensors, and control panels.
• Installing and maintaining CCTV cameras and access control systems.
• Carry tools, equipment, and materials to and from work locations.
• Support in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning systems.

Other Duties:

• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Help prepare job sites by setting up ladders, work areas, and safety measures.
• Perform basic tasks such as cleaning work areas and disposing of waste materials.
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and supervisors.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Mandatory:
• Valid UAE light vehicle driving license.
• Basic knowledge of electrical or technical work.
• Preferred:
• Previous experience assisting with automation, electrical, or ELV installations.
• Familiarity with tools and materials used in gate automation and CCTV.
• Candidates with their own visa (sponsorship) will be given preference.

Other Requirements:

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
• Punctual, reliable, and hardworking.
• Willingness to travel across the UAE as needed.
• Able to work flexible hours or overtime when required.

Work Environment:

• Field-based role in residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• May involve working outdoors and at heights.
