Job Description – Head - Ecommerce (Shopify)

Purpose of Job: To lead and manage the company’s online business on Shopify by driving sales growth, enhancing digital presence, optimizing customer experience, and aligning e-commerce operations with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute e-commerce strategies to drive growth, traffic, and conversions.
• Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to manage campaigns, deliverables, and timelines.
• Coordinate with UX, content, and design teams for website optimization, landing pages, and creatives.
• Track user journeys, analyze conversion funnels, and identify areas of improvement.
• Plan and manage a digital marketing calendar, forecasting campaigns and expected ROI.
• Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Web Analytics, etc.) to monitor performance and optimize strategies.
• Collaborate with social media and marketing teams to align promotions, product launches, and campaigns.
• Monitor competitor activity and stay updated with Shopify innovations, tools, and trends.
• Prepare and present detailed sales and performance analysis reports.
• Lead and mentor the e-commerce team, ensuring smooth daily operations and long-term growth.

Key skills required

• Proven expertise in managing Shopify-based e-commerce businesses.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, funnels, and analytics.
• Ability to create and execute data-driven strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Familiarity with payment gateways, logistics integrations, and third-party Shopify apps.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of e-commerce trends, tools, and customer behavior.
