Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will implement age-appropriate curricula and activities that promote learning through play while ensuring the well-being of each child in your care.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Promote child welfare by ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's development and address any concerns.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to guide children’s actions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's activities, progress, and any incidents that occur during class.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Experience in curriculum development tailored for young learners.
  • Proficiency in teaching physical education activities suitable for preschool-aged children.
  • Knowledge of child welfare regulations and best practices in daycare settings.
  • Ability to create inclusive classrooms that accommodate diverse learning needs, including special education strategies.
  • Effective behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with basic math concepts suitable for early learners.
  • Pediatric CPR, Mandatory Reporter, and additional training required after hire.
