We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled eBook Formatter who can also handle basic proofreading tasks. The ideal candidate should be experienced in formatting books for digital platforms like Amazon KDP and have a sharp eye for catching grammar, punctuation, and layout errors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Format manuscripts for eBook platforms (e.g., KDP, Smashwords, IngramSpark)
• Ensure consistency in layout, fonts, spacing, and overall design
• Proofread content for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
• Coordinate with authors and editors for revisions and corrections
• Deliver polished, error-free, and upload-ready files
• Meet formatting and proofreading deadlines

Requirements:

• Proficiency in tools like MS Word, Adobe InDesign, or Vellum
• Strong understanding of eBook formatting standards (mobi, epub, PDF)
• Excellent command of English grammar and language
• Keen attention to detail in both formatting and proofreading
• Ability to follow style guides and formatting instructions precisely

Preferred:

• Experience with Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or other publishing platforms
• Familiarity with proofreading symbols and editorial workflows
• Experience in both fiction and non-fiction formatting
