JobPurpose

The Accommodation Assistantis responsible forsupporting the daily operations of staff accommodation facilities. This role ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for staff, addressing any concerns or emergencies promptly,maintaininginventory and supplies, andassistingin the welfare ofresidingstaff. The Accommodation Assistant also supervises the performance of housing staff and adheres to the company*s health and safety policies.

Key Result Areas

Ensure staff accommodation is properlymaintainedand safe by addressing complaints promptly and conducting regular safety inspections to provide a secure and comfortable living environment.
Act as the primary point of contact in emergencies and ensure compliance with health and safety policies to effectively manage situations andmaintaina safe environment.
Maintainregular communication withresidingstaff, escalate issues to the Accommodation Supervisor, and organize social events to enhance staff well-being and community spirit.*
Manage inventory by ordering supplies, organizing items, andmaintainingaccuraterecords to ensure adequate stock levels while adhering to budget constraints.
Keep communication channels open and effective bymaintainingthenoticeboardand acting as the primary contact for any necessary communication with residents.
Compile andsubmitdetailed reports onroomoccupancy, resident numbers, and operational issues to provide insights and support decision-making in accommodation management.
Oversee housing staff performance, prepare work schedules, and provide guidance to ensurehigh standardsof service and operational efficiency.
Promote and ensure adherence to the company*s Occupational Health & Safety policies tomaintaina safe living and workingenvironmentfor all residents and staff.

Knowledge, Skills &MinimumExperience

Education Qualification:
a)High school diploma or equivalent;additionalcertification in hospitality management is an added advantage.

Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in accommodation management or a similar role.

Skills:
Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
Proficiencyin inventory management and basic budgeting.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and standards.
