Electrcial (MEP) Draftsman

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical MEP Draftsman with at least 3 years of relevant experience in preparing high-quality electrical design drawings for building projects. The ideal candidate should be proficient in drafting software, understand electrical systems in MEP environments, and be able to coordinate with engineers to deliver accurate and timely drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical layout drawings including power, lighting, low-current, and grounding systems.
• Draft single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and panel schedules as per design inputs.
• Ensure drawings comply with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with internal MEP engineering teams to incorporate design changes.
• Update drawings based on markups, site instructions, and revisions.
• Maintain drawing documentation, file naming, layering standards, and CAD protocols.
• Support the engineering team in preparing BOQs, load schedules, and as-built drawings.
• Assist in interdisciplinary coordination (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) when needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical MEP Draftsman.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage.
• Understanding of electrical systems used in commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
• Ability to interpret engineer markups, specifications, and design guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.

Education

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering / DAE (Electrical) or relevant technical qualification.

• Starting Salary: Rs. 50,000/- per month
