Electrical Journeyman

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson to join our team in Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. This role is essential for maintaining and installing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical experience, including working with high and low voltage systems, schematics, and blueprint reading. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of technical skills and tools.

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, adhering to NEC standards.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise electrical work.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters for testing and diagnostics.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Perform construction tasks including frame carpentry, renovation work, and general maintenance person duties as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams on construction sites to ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of projects.
• Follow all safety protocols related to high voltage and low voltage electrical work, maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a valid journeyperson certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, NEC codes, and blueprint reading.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high voltage (HV), and low voltage (LV) wiring.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Construction site experience with renovation projects preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and schematics related to electrical systems.
• Skilled in framing carpentry or general construction work is a plus.
• Maintenance Person experience is advantageous for versatile project support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing complex electrical tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout each project.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
