Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Job Summary
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of electrical projects. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the primary liaison among all project stakeholders.
· Plan and manage projects using standard project management methodologies from initiation to completion.
· Prepare, negotiate, and manage project contracts.
· Develop comprehensive project management plans and identify resource and role requirements.
· Initiate, monitor, and manage project changes efficiently.
· Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
· Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through structured risk management practices.
· Coordinate and monitor project deliverables, open items, RFQs, and progress reports.
· Present project progress reports during weekly and bi-weekly status meetings.
· Oversee project closeout, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and contractual standards.
Skills and Qualifications
· Proven knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP certification preferred).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Proficiency in negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
· Expertise in time and risk management.
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
· Competency in technical documentation, reporting, and research.
· Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical / E-Plan with capability to draft and manage design activities.
· Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and conflict management skills.
· Self-driven, adaptable, and accountable professional with emotional intelligence.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EEE, ECE, or E&I).
· 8–15 years of experience, preferably in Furnace Manufacturing or Heavy Engineering industries.
Job Details
Work Schedule: 6 days per week
Location: Chennai
Onsite Requirement: 75% onsite with domestic and international travel for site visits, commissioning, and troubleshooting (as required).
Compensation
₹1,00,000 – ₹2,50,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹205,000.00 per month
