Job Summary:
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical systems, a strong understanding of safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, motors, and panels.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, lighting, and power distribution systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical systems.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Support the setup and maintenance of control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation (if applicable).
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes and company standards.
- Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns and assist in minimizing equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance staff to support operational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–4 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in maintenance, construction, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices and standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEC).
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation systems (preferred).
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
- Must be able to lift moderate weights and operate hand and power tools safely.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or industrial settings.
- Certification in electrical safety or maintenance programs.
- Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
