Job Description – Maintenance Engineer / Technician

**Location:** [Plant Location] -KANNUR

**Experience:** Minimum 5 years

Key Responsibilities

 Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.

 Troubleshoot and repair issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the plant.

 Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

 Maintain records of all maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.

 Prepare and execute preventive maintenance plans for extrusion, washing, drying, and other plastics/recycling machinery.

 Train operators on basic machine maintenance and safe handling practices.

 Address ad-hoc maintenance requirements to ensure smooth plant operations.

 Coordinate with vendors and service providers for spare parts, repairs, and upgrades.

 Ensure compliance with safety standards and keep plant in running condition at all times.

Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering background preferred).

 Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in plastics manufacturing / recycling industry (preferred).

 Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motors, pumps, plumbing systems, and industrial machines.

 Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.

 Good skills in preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Preferred Attributes

 Experience in plastics extrusion, recycling, or related industries.

 Proactive in creating and following structured maintenance plans.

 Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

 Team player with ability to train and support operators.

 Flexible to handle urgent breakdowns and on-call requirements.
